The Relevance Engine

Vigil's Relevance Engine is the matching layer that compares every new threat — from CISA KEV and the NVD — against an organization's specific technology stack and surfaces only the items that actually apply.

Most threat feeds drown teams in noise: thousands of CVEs, almost none relevant to a given environment. The Relevance Engine inverts that. It builds a profile of the vendors and platforms you run — email, EDR, identity, SIEM, cloud, firewall, remote access, virtualization, backup, operating systems — and evaluates each new threat against it, explaining in plain language why something matters to you.

Operating-system-level matches are deliberately scoped to actively-exploited (KEV) items to avoid flooding the feed. The result is continuous monitoring that pages you only on what's genuinely relevant — the anti-noise approach that defines Vigil.
